After working with Dave a few times Nellie and Spencer made great improvements! So much improvement that today I walked TWO dogs at the same time!! Thank You Dave!
We had 5 sessions with Dave and our dog Prince, and each time we took away a great deal of new techniques. Dave helped us train Prince in the areas of we had discussed but also gave us the tools to continue training on our own. Dog training is as much about the owners learning as it is the dog, and Dave is a great teacher for both dogs and owners. Thanks Dave!
We rescued our 3 year old pit mix in August and knew right away that we needed some help with training. Our dog was shy, fearful of other people, and wasn't great at walking on his leash. We had 5 sessions with Dave and learned a lot of techniques from leash walking to overcoming fears (the vacuum, the blender, etc). Dave was friendly, professional and very patient with us. He answered all of our questions and always came prepared with treats for our boy. We've seen a significant positive change in our dog, and we're so happy that we now have the tools to continue teaching him. We highly recommend Dave!

Dave is great! In a pinch I needed someone to walk and feed my dog overnight. Dave came the same day to meet our dog and was a huge relief! Very professional! Can't wait to use Dave for training as well!

We hired Dave to work with our puppy Copper who was having severe issues with going to the bathroom outside. We got a few sessions with him and after only the first one we had a complete 180 with Copper. She began going outside automatically. He was extremely good with her and he never failed to answer any questions we had at any time. He took all of our problems and gave us a way to work on them. He impressed us and we were very pleased. Dave was fantastic. My wife and I along with our recently adopted puppy had the pleasure of working with Dave over the course of a few sessions. During his time with us he constantly provided high quality instruction, care, and expertise. His knowledge of training techniques, strategies, and the K9 mentality was outstanding. He was able to recommend specific training tools and spent time with us developing a customized regimine for our very shy dog. At the end of our sessions our dog, who previously had no formal training and would cower at the sight of strangers, was excelling in obedience and gaining confidence every day. Dave shows a level of professionalism that is second to none. He was very helpful, always thoroughly explained everything with our dog's training, and always came prepared. He even had a personalized folder already put together for us before our first training session. He also uses great analogies to explain dog behavior, which helped us. Most importantly - my dog is making amazing progress with his leash walking behaviors. I highly recommend!
When we rescued our dog, Harley, we thought we had a good idea of what we were doing with all the websites and YouTube videos out there, but it just wasn't working. She was super excitable, anxious, and horrible at leash walking. It wasn't until we decided to get a trainer that things really fell into place and we couldn't have asked for a better teacher than Dave. She's so much better than where she was after three sessions than she was in the months of us trying on our own. We really appreciated his training style in only asking the dog to do things instead of forcing them. He's also taught us how to be better trainers for her. Highly, highly recommend to anyone with a dog, even if they think they are doing okay on their own!!
Dave did a great job with our 5 year old rescue Remy! He was able to easily modify his techniques to fit how Remy learned so that the training would be more effective! He was also able to give us a few tips that put us at ease in training an adult dog that I never would've realized! I would suggest to anyone with rescue dogs for sure!
