Dave was fantastic. My wife and I along with our recently adopted puppy had the pleasure of working with Dave over the course of a few sessions. During his time with us he constantly provided high quality instruction, care, and expertise. His knowledge of training techniques, strategies, and the K9 mentality was outstanding. He was able to recommend specific training tools and spent time with us developing a customized regimine for our very shy dog. At the end of our sessions our dog, who previously had no formal training and would cower at the sight of strangers, was excelling in obedience and gaining confidence every day. I would recommend Dave and At Attention Dog Training to anyone who could benefit from the professional attention of a master in his craft. We look forward to Dave helping us again in the future.
Dave shows a level of professionalism that is second to none. He was very helpful, always thoroughly explained everything with our dog's training, and always came prepared. He even had a personalized folder already put together for us before our first training session. He also uses great analogies to explain dog behavior, which helped us. Most importantly - my dog is making amazing progress with his leash walking behaviors. I highly recommend!
When we rescued our dog, Harley, we thought we had a good idea of what we were doing with all the websites and YouTube videos out there, but it just wasn't working. She was super excitable, anxious, and horrible at leash walking. It wasn't until we decided to get a trainer that things really fell into place and we couldn't have asked for a better teacher than Dave. She's so much better than where she was after three sessions than she was in the months of us trying on our own. We really appreciated his training style in only asking the dog to do things instead of forcing them. He's also taught us how to be better trainers for her. Highly, highly recommend to anyone with a dog, even if they think they are doing okay on their own!!
Dave did a great job with our 5 year old rescue Remy! He was able to easily modify his techniques to fit how Remy learned so that the training would be more effective! He was also able to give us a few tips that put us at ease in training an adult dog that I never would've realized! I would suggest to anyone with rescue dogs for sure!
Dave came to help me with some brushing up skills for Maggie, my Goldendoodle. Maggie took to Dave right away. Dave has positive energy that he transferred to both me and my dog. It was a great experience!
We can't thank Dave enough for helping us train our Bailey...A 7 year old Havanese that would bark like CRRAZY when another dog or God forbid 2 dogs would approach us on our daily walks. Within 3 visits Dave trained us and Bailey and he's like a different dog! Now when a dog starts barking at him ... Bailey is more focused on me than the dog. Our walks have been so much more enjoyable so Thenk you soooo much Dave!!! Bailey thanks you too! Highly recommend Dave!
At Attention Dog Training was an incredibly positive experience for my granddaughter and me as we learned to positively interact with this new member of our family. Dave went way beyond our expectations in helping to provide basic training for our puppy. We look forward to the next phase.

We called At Attention to help with our puppy Penny who was quite a handful. We enlisted her in Puppy BootCamp and we could not be more happy with the results! Dave with AADT is an excellent trainer; extremely knowledgeable, wonderful with the dogs, passionate about his craft and an all around nice guy. We rescued a puggle, "Bob," who exhibited many aggressive behaviors. He would sometimes bully our older golden retriever, bark uncontrollably, pull on the leash, etc. Bob is roughly 5 years old, so we weren't sure if his behavior would really change much. Our rescue organization recommended Dave, and after just one visit, we noticed changes in behavior, and Dave gave us great tools and exercises to practice and continue progress. Dave had a total of two long sessions with us, and we've seen wonderful improvement in Bob, and he is getting along much better with other dog. We VERY highly recommend Dave and AADT!
